LA Junior Chamber of Commerce Sponsors Camp Quest Event at Vasa Park
Vasa Park hosted ninety-five excited school children, ages five to twelve, on July 12, 2008 on our very own Creekside for a full day of team building. The L.A. Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event, called Camp Quest, sending children to Vasa Park for multiple team building activities and a day of fun! The kids participated in activities using the Low Challenge Course elements: All Aboard, Whale Watch, and Beam Puzzle, along with our Zip Line and our Games and Initiatives Challenges. These activities focused on balance, communication, cooperation, problem-solving, pushing limits and above all having fun!!! To top off the day the children played on our very own Surf n’ Slide and enjoyed fresh popcorn and cool  ice cream treats. We were so happy to have the kids at the facility. Our staff immensely enjoyed all of the energetic and happy children that participated in Camp Quest! Cheryle Babbitt, a member of the L.A. Junior Chamber of Commerce, commented that the children “were all sleeping on the bus on the way home!” We look forward to hosting the L.A. Junior Chamber of Commerce again next year! |
