Named in honor of the Apollo 11 astronauts, Apollo Community Regional Park boasts a replica of the Apollo Space Capsule on loan from the Smithsonian.  That's not its only claim to fame.  With three lakes ( Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins) there is plenty of fishing and their picnic locations are well kept and numerous.

How to reserve Apollo Park:

Reservations for the small picnic locations are $40 for the first 75 people.  Reservations for large picnic locations are $75 for the first 100 people and an additional $125 for the next 100 people.  There is a $200 refundable security deposit.
